La fibre optique est fragile ? Blindons-la ! Les ingénieurs de chez Sommer Cable ont eu l’idée d’enfermer quatre fibres de verre sous une même gaine extérieure, et chacune dans un flexible métallique, avec code couleur aux extrémités. Ce qui donne la Pro-Serie : monomode ou multimode, LC ou Hi-Fiber4-MC, tout est possible…

Faire passer quatre signaux analogiques sur un câble CAT, c’est facile. Gérer facilement l’épanoui RJ45 vers 4 XLR, c’est moins facile. Sommer Cable propose donc un module muni d’une embase Neutrik Ethercon à l’avant et d’un épanoui « propre », à l’avant ou à l’arrière. Il y a du Dante chez Sommer Cable ! Un, deux ou quatre canaux, voici une interface de sortie munie de connecteurs XLR de qualité à une extrémité, d’un boîtier avec électronique et embase verrouillable Ethercon Cat6a de l’autre.
